Good morning,
I have a couple of questions regarding my specific board:
1: Custom fields on a board - I have created custom fields and it has allowed me to remove every field I have wanted to change except one (Artwork Incl.). I am not certain why this is happening and need assistance in removing it.
2: Comments - Every time we make changes to the custom field or add any new info on the custom field it reflects on the comments section, making the board busier than it should be. Is there any way that the comments will not reflect on the particular card?
3: Notifications - Is there any way to reduce the amount of notifications team members receive when someone else has made changes to the card?
Thanks,
Maria
Hey Maria,
Let's go through each of your questions.
@Maria Chaparro in addition to the answers provided by @Alex W above I have a product called BenkoBoard that is not only designed to integrate with Gmail but also to improve the Trello notification experience.
Because members automatically watch cards they're added to (and, by default, when they add a comment to a card) the volume of notifications can be quite extreme in the default setup.
BenkoBoard will unwatch any card a member is added to, so they only get notified about being added to a card and mentioned in a comment. Any additional notifications that are required can be added on a case-by-case basis through automation.
The added cards and comment mentions create notification card in their BenkoBoard inbox list so they have a central spot for all their notifications across all boards.
Additionally I usually recommend that people uncheck the "watch this card" checkbox at the bottom of the comment box when they add comments (you only have to do this once).
Even though the Gmail integration bit of BenkoBoard is optional (ie. you don't have to import your emails) the signup is currently via Google so it's Gmail only right now:
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
