Hi guys,
I have been using the Google Drive power-up for about a year now, and each time I attach a folder to a card, I'm able to dee a preview of the folder contents from inside the card, but now the only thing I see is a mere link.
This how it used to look like:
Now it looks like this:
Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
Hi Papa! Hope you are doing good!
Due to a recent bug on Google Drive Power-up, it had to be re-verified by Google, and one of the changes was that when attaching Drive folders/files to cards, the original folder preview is no longer available as the API we were using to render them was considered "restricted" by Google.
You can still click into the folder/file and use Trello's native attachment previewer.
Hi [Trello Support],
I appreciate the response, but is Atlassian actually planning to fix this?
I’ve been using Trello for five years, and I keep seeing features get removed without being properly addressed. First, it was the Dropbox Power-Up, now the Google Drive Power-Up. The same thing happened with the old card aging feature and the ability to copy boards while keeping template settings. These issues never seem to get resolved.
It seems like this could be fixed by simply updating the API, but nothing has changed. Is this something Atlassian is working on, or should I assume it will stay broken like the others?

Hi Papa,
I understand your frustration with the recent changes and the removal of certain features.
In the case of the Google Drive Power-Up, the adjustments were necessary due to changes in Google's app policies, which were beyond our control. We constantly strive to adapt to these external changes while maintaining a seamless user experience. The original folder preview feature relied on an API now deemed "restricted" by Google, which limits our ability to provide the same functionality.
We are committed to improving Trello and addressing user concerns. While some changes are driven by external factors like third-party integrations, we are continuously exploring ways to enhance our platform. Your feedback is invaluable in guiding these efforts.
Please rest assured that we take your concerns seriously and are working on finding the best possible solutions.
We do have a suggestion open for this and you can follow through this link: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/TRELLO-928
Thank you for your understanding and patience as we navigate these challenges.
