Hidden checked items in a checklist are visible again next login

In the app I have hidden checked items in checklists, but the next time I enter these are shown again. This was not the case before I think.

Is this a bug, or is there a standard setting I can use to keep them hidden once I've selected to hide them?

It was first reported almost 3 months ago. As requested I sent the issue to the email address as instructed, and did everything they asked me to, but the bug is still unresolved.

Hm, that behavior may differ depending on the platform.

Can you tell me where you're experiencing this behavior currently please? Is this the web version of Trello or possibly one of the mobile apps?

On both my laptop (Windows 10 Pro 64 bit, Chrome v87.0) and iPhone 8 (v14.2).

As long as I have the site/app open, it keeps them hidden, and a while after, but an hour or so later when I go back they are visible again. I do not log out between the sessions.

Hey Henrik,

I heard back from the team on this behavior. Here's how that is expected to work:

• The mobile and web apps do not share this setting, so changing one will not affect the other.
• Hiding a checklist is a per-card setting, so it must be set for each card.
• The setting is stored locally, so logging out should not clear the setting, but clearing your cache/cookies would reset it.
• There is no timer or expiration that should reset the setting.

Having the same issue on iOS 13.6 with the most recent Trello app (2020.16.1). It seems to occur since around November 2020, beforehand it worked perfectly fine.

Every morning I need to reset the setting to hide the checked items for all cards I open. Rather annoying.

I’m having the same issue. Every time I open the app, I have to re-hide each checklist. I don’t clear any cache. This happens on any platform I use, browser, iOS, etc. Any time I open the app after it has closed (so I see the Trello load screen on iOS), I have to hide the checklists again. It’s infuriating. All iOS Apps are fully up to date. Happens on multiple devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac). Really disappointing. Going to be migrating my projects to other platforms soon.
