Is it possible to hide the activity list in Trello. We wish to post read only public boards and don't want to show all the updates/ changes that may have happened on the board as it has been developed or on an ongoing basis.
Hey Gordon
There's not, unfortunately, a way to hide/remove the activity list at this time. Consider making a feature request.
It's a feature that has been addressed many times but never added :)
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
There's a workaround (may need to do this for all cards however):
1. Click on the card to open it in view
2. find the right-hand side button called "Copy"
3. a duplicate card will be created with no activity logs
4. delete old card with activity logs
Hope this helps!

Hi Wendie, I am not sure whether you have resolved the above mentioned problem? if not, when you choose the copy option the pop-up which results will have a number of possible checklist items, depending on if they are present on the card. One of the items checked on your card will say "Comments" (x) where x is the number of comments it found in your card. If you uncheck this box it will not copy your comments across. Hope this helps?

I have this issue aswell, any new inputs here to remove the Work log from cards?
Best from Jeppe 😊

Yes, dealing with clients on shared boards - don't want to show every single log of activity, unprofessional

@Matthew N
I came back to Trello recently to see if they ever added the option to delete or hide activity from public view and I'm sadly not shocked to see they haven't. It's absolutely ridiculous that you guys will add useless AI crap without hesitation, but won't add a feature that's been requested for almost 10 years. Activity should only be visible to board members; it makes no sense why non-members would need to know board activity. Companies that pretend to care about user input, but refuse to listen to anything we say in favor of useless crap has got to lead to their downfall. Until this feature gets added, I'll be continuing my work elsewhere.

I also have this problem and do not want to see the activity bar when I open a card. It prevents me from making the card smaller and still being able to see the actual checklist or description where I am doing the work, but need the window minimized. Not happy with these new trello updates - they're bulky and not user friendly.

I for one am glad it’s NOT possible to delete it
its a running list of activity so there is no confusion as to what happened and who did it
