How to ad members to a card using iOS app on iPhone or iPad

It is possible to add members to a card when using Trello desktop version, but such feature apparently doesn’t apply in Trello app for iPhone or iPad. 

Can anybody help me with that?

You are right, this is how it works. :(

Too bad that you can’t choose autonomously in the single specific card (including members who are not part of the board or excluding some members of the whole board from specific cards).

Last question: what is the point of adding members to cards since they already are in the board? Is the fact that by doing so they will receive alerts and notifications when the content of the single card is modified?

Yup, you're on the right track. If you add a member to the card, they'll get notifications whenever there are new comments added or if the card is due. 👍

I tested it out with my phone and the app (iOS) does allow yo to add a member to a card. See the screen recording of what I did here: https://d.pr/v/B0M44H

What I did:

1. Open a card
2. Tap the Members option right below Labels
3. Select the member I want to add
4. Tap "x" to exit. Trello saves the changes automatically. 

If it's still not working, you may need to reach out to Trello's Support team for help. You can take a screen recording of the app on your iOS device so they can see the problem. 🙂

The problem still persist because the only members I can see are those who I already picked in the desktop version. As you see from the screenshot there is not the possibility of searching and adding other members.

Any idea?

Ah, I see what you mean. You'll need to add new members to your board before adding them to the card.

To do this, tap on the menu icon (...) at the top-right side of the app to open the board's side menu, and then invite the new member to your board. You can then add them to the card as how it's shown in the screen recording I shared. 

Let me know if you're able to add your new members this time. 🙂
