How to remove the child protection from links

Martin September 10, 2025

Every single time we press a link in a card, we are asked to confirm that we actually wish to follow that link.

How can we get rid of that unwanted child protection?

Hi @Martin ,

Welcome to the community!

To better understand the issue, could you provide a bit more detail?

  • Are the links you're pressing external links, or do they link to another Trello card?

  • Do the links use "https" or "http"?

  • Are you experiencing this prompt when using Trello on the web, or is it happening in the mobile app as well?

External links using https on the web.

Hello @Martin

Can you check your google chrome settings : chrome://settings/content/popups select the option "Don't allow sites to send pop-ups or use redirects" and see whether you'll get a same message or not.

Looking forward to your response.

No change.

This is not a popup. It's a modal which Trello creates.

I don't want to press a link, and then have a warning displayed by Trello. I want to press a link and then have the browser open the link like on every other website in the world.
