Hey there,
For a few days, when i click on the download link of a file attached to a Trello card, all i got is a preview.
I lost the dialog for choosing a path on the local disk.
I wonder if smthg has changed on my Mac or if an option is wrong or if smbdy encounters the same issue ?
Thank you very much for any kind of response
Hi Gilles,
Different browsers handle that link differently depending on their version, the kind of file, and local settings about how to handle those files—when the browser allows for it, the 'Open in new tab' button will change to a 'Download' button. Chrome has historically displayed this as "Download," but it seems they've recently made a change that alters this. Are you by chance using Chrome? Our team is looking into what we might be able to do to work around this, but we have no immediate timeline for that, unfortunately.
If you right-click on the "open in a new tab" link, you should see the option to download the file or save it. That will allow you to save the attachment to your desktop for future use, though it's certainly one step less convenient!
Hi Michael,
The right-click is working fine anyway !
My post aim was to mention the team in case it was not already done.
Thank you very much for your answer.

the right click on the open in a new tab icon does not give me the option to download the content, only to save a link to the content.

True ! On Chrome, If you follow this step, you see no controls to obtain your file.
To gain the dialog to download the file just right click on the miniature under attachement, or the very small symbol with an arrow after .png
