If I close a board will the team members be removed from the board?

I want to remove the team members from a board that is no longer in use. Can I close the board and will the team members automatically be removed? Or do I have to manually remove the team members from the board?

@Kristina Academia team members won't be removed from a board that gets closed, only if it's closed and permanently deleted.
