It isn't as tightly integrated as custom fields, but provides a lot of customization capabilities for styling and presentation.

Hi Allen/Andreas, I looked into Amazing Fields. If you want to keep it FREE, it only allows you to set 6 fields.

You can add any number of fields you want and it is still free. If you want to use some of the more advanced capabilities like board export or field level permissions then the user who takes that action needs to be a supporter which starts at something like $2/month.

Trello is highly customizable but without knowing the use case it's hard to define options.

Is there an option (FREE) for something like "Custom Fields"?
I would like to create fields to enter date fields, dropdown fields, numeric fields.

If you're an Admin of your instance you can do this out of the box. If not you would ned to work with your Jira admin.
