In the future, will there be an inclement counter for a field?

I want to keep track of certain cards, including how many times I have used or completed them etc

Hi @Dree Char

Thanks for reaching out!

Just so we're on the same page, would you mind expanding on the type of counter you'd like to see on cards?

Are you looking to track the number of times a card due date was marked completed?

I'll keep an eye out for your reply,

Lara

Hi, how are you?

My situation is unique. I have a disability, and I do household chores within a timeframe because my caseworker checks in monthly to see if I'm doing household tasks and community outings. It's for my people with disabilities agency, which allows them to hire people to assist me in the community. Additionally, I have a separate agency that helps with household chores.

For example, I do 12 chores within 31 days or when I see my caseworker. It's about every four weeks, give or take a few days. I need a counter for that, and I would like to explain my reasoning for that task.

Hi Dree,

I'm good, thanks. How are you? 😊

Thanks for sharing your use case! I completely understand where you're coming from.

It might help to use the Dashcards Power-Up for this. Dashcards provides a visual way to track work across your Workspace boards and monitor changes in real time.

You can create filters for custom sets of data, like “cards assigned to me on all Workspace boards,” ”cards due this week,” ”cards with red labels,” and track all of those cards that match the criteria right on your Trello board.

Alternatively, you could use automation in combination with Custom Fields. For example, you could set up an automation rule such as:

  • when the "checklist" item is checked, increase the number in custom field "Chores completed" by 1

I hope that helps! If you'd like to explore either of these options furher, let me know! I can see that you have a Premium subscription, so you get access to priority support 👍

All the best,
Lara

I already have a setup by the Amazing Fields power-up that I could show you. I use text box fields as a counter. I can show you one of my boards to see my set up if you want that.
