Invite with special link

Ian Campbell February 19, 2018

If I "invite people by giving them a special link", can they let others also use that link?

And when would this method be better than just entering their email address in the box above?

Hi Ian

When you share a link to join a board, anyone with the link can join. So, yes, someone can share the link with someone else and the link would be valid for them.  You can always change the invite link if you find that people are abusing it.

Using the link to join the board is best when you have a lot of people needing to join the board, that way you don't have to enter a bunch of email addresses, just send the link instead.

Thanks Mathew, that's very clear.

Following on, I've experimented with the 'Disable this Link' beneath the invitation, and seen how a new link appears each time after you click it.
