Is there a way for hidden checklist items to remain hidden when a card is opened again?

I'm working in a Trello card with several checklists. Each has multiple items.

Every time I open the card to continue, I have to hide each list's completed items again to declutter.

I know that I can create multiple cards to help alleviate the problem, but my preference in this case is to keep them all together on the one.

Is there a way for my choice to show/hide completed checklist items to hold between uses?

@Denise Aday I just tested this on both the desktop app and iOS and it seems to save the "hide completed" status for each card so that next time I open the card, the checklist items on that card are hidden. If I open a different card I have to choose hide completed, though.

Thanks for testing in your setup, @Iain Dooley.

It's inconsistent in mine. For instance, just logged in fresh using Firefox, Windows 10 desktop. The checklist preferences for that card held this time.

However, they're all expanded on the same card on Android.

@Denise Aday Yes my understanding is that it's device specific. My expectation is that it would be cached in local storage, not something saved on the server.

Makes sense — thanks @Iain Dooley.

Is there a universal setting in Trello that enables us to automatically hide all completed tasks? Ideally I wouldn't need to click this button on each card. Not to mention, if I clear my cache (as mentioned above) it undoes all the previous clicks. It seems like a universal setting for the board would greatly reduce clicks and improve productivity.

This is maddening. How is this answer “solved?” I have a Trello account that I use across multiple platforms. Keep them all updated. Every time I open a card with a checklist, the checklist becomes Un-Hidden, despite hiding it every time i open it, regardless of platform (browser, iOS app, etc). This happens on any card containing a checklist. Absolutely infuriating and, frankly, defeats a lot of the usefulness of Trello in general for me. Looks like I’ll be making the switch to simple Apple Reminders....
