Hello.
I can log into the Trello web app with no problem—two-step verification works fine. But I cannot log in using the installed application. After I enter my email and password, I click the passkey button. It spins forever then informs me, “You did not complete the login process. Try again."
Can you please provide assistance?
Thank you.
Hi Rob,
Thanks for reaching out!
Right now it's not possible to use Apple's Keychain with our Desktop Mac app.
While this exact functionality isn’t currently available in Trello, you aren’t alone in wanting this as we have had other users interested in this as well. With that in mind, I’ve added you as a “+1” to our existing suggestion, which you can access here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/TRELLO-919.
We also have a bug ticket for the failed login attempt (and lack of error messaging) that you can also follow here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/TRELLO-697.
The workaround for now is to manually enter your password. If you need to get the password, you'll need to open the Passwords/Keychain Access app, navigate to trello.com and copy the password from there.
Please let us know if you have any other questions, and we'll be happy to help.
All the best,
Lara
Lara,
Thank you for getting back to me.
I apologize if I wasn't clear above, but I am entering my password. This is the process I was trying (using the Desktop app) is:
Since this functionality isn't available in the desktop app, it seems to use it I'd actually need to disable 2-step authentication. Is that correct?

Hi Rob,
It turns out that the Trello Desktop doesn't currently support passkey or touch ID authentication methods. We have a feature suggestion for this with our product team, which you can access here: TRELLO-919–As a Trello user, I'd like to log in to Trello with my passkey or Touch ID on the Desktop app.
In the meantime, you could explore using alternative Atlassian Account 2FA methods, such as using an Authenticator App or SMS messages.
Please let us know if you have any other questions, and we'll be happy to help.
Thanks,
Lara
