Hey Yall
We use a unique trello card for each clients job coming through our screen printing shop.
Were looking to automate notifying that cards client that their job is ready for pickup when we move their card into our "JOB COMPLETE/NOTIFY CLIENT" list.
We have the clients email in the DESCRIPTION portion at the top of the card.
Is there a Zapier automation that can trigger a template email to that email address when the card is moved into that list?
Been looking, I see lots of Zapier Trello to Gmail options, but not one that will automatically message the email address in the card.
I suggest you look up on use of wildcard so that you can get the embedded email from your description. It would be difficult if the emails are embedded differently. Once you have email you can use a email power up to send your email.
thanks for that!
is wildcard a powerup/butler app?
sorry, beginner here

Hi @Alex Chavel 👋
Christl from SendBoard here - makers of the Email for Trello PowerUp.
We actually have a blogpost about this exact example. I.e. automatically send an email when you drag a card to a list. Check it out the post here: Drag a Trello card to send an email. You might find this post useful too: Automatically send timed follow-up emails from Trello (e.g. to gather feedback or follow-up with the client on a collection etc.).
With our PowerUp you can connect your email to your Trello board so any incoming emails will create a new card and attach the contact and email thread. You can view and reply from Trello as the card moves through your workflow. Check out this video for a quick overview: Email for Trello Demo
Hope that helps! You're welcome to pop over any questions to hello@sendboard.com or simply add the Email for Trello PowerUp to give it a try with the free trial.
