New Card-create a list

Is there an automation to create a new list with the creation of a new card?

I have a list titled "Backlog", but I'd like to have a new list created with the card name, when I add a card to that "Backlog" list...hope that makes sense?

Hi Joe. Thank you for reaching out to the community. Out of pure curiosity, why would you want to do this and end up with a list for every card you create named the same?

By the way:

1. Open Trello and go to the board where you have already a list, let's say it "Inbox".
2. Click on Automation (⚡ icon at the top).
3. Go to the Rules tab.
4. Click Create Rule.
5. Set up the trigger:
   • Click "When a card is added to list".
   • Select "Inbox" as the list.
6. Set up the action:
   • Click "Add an action".
   • Choose "Create a list named...".
   • In the text box, type {cardname} (this dynamically uses the card's name as the list title).
7. Add another action rule to move the created card from "inbox" to the just new created list named like the card.
