Hi Atlassian Community,
I'm reaching out for help recovering access to a Trello account that was linked to a now-deactivated company Google Workspace email. This email address is no longer active, and unfortunately, I’m logged out everywhere, so I can't sign in.
Details:
The Trello account was associated with a company-managed Google Workspace email
That email address has been permanently deactivated
The account was on a free plan
I was the owner/admin of several important boards
I can provide:
Names of boards
Other identifying information to verify ownership
I have an Atlassian account and would be happy to have the boards transferred there if possible
I’ve attempted to go through Atlassian support, but since the account was on a free plan, I wasn't able to open a direct support ticket. I'm hoping a Community Manager or someone from the Atlassian team can help escalate this, as the data is important for my ongoing work.
Thanks in advance for any help or guidance you can offer.
Hi @Sascha Melcher, welcome to the Atlassian Community!
For security reasons, Atlassian support is unable to change the email address associated with your account or provide access to the Workspace. Your best bet is to contact your former employer to ask if they may be able to help you reclaim your account by temporarily activating your old email address. Once your old email address is activated, you can recover your password at https://id.atlassian.com/login/resetpassword.
You might also check if you’re still logged in to the account on one of your devices (for example, on your mobile phone) so that you can share access to your boards with your new email address.
If there were other members on your boards, you can reach out to them and ask them to add your new account to those boards.
Thank you for taking the time to look into this. Unfortunately, none of the recovery options are possible in my case, but I really appreciate your support and clarification.
