I have imported our client list into Trello and I want to sort alphabetically. When I do this, my top AAA Card is shuffled and I end up with two sections of cards in the list both beginning with A. i.e. Amy to Val then AAA to Zoe. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this??
Hi @Belinda Bendon, welcome to the community!
I have tested, and the card names are correctly getting sorted alphabetically. So, I just wanted to check how it's looking on your end so I can investigate it further.
As you mentioned you have imported the client list into Trello, can you confirm how you did it? Is it through some third-party power-ups?
Thank you!
Hi Sakshi,
This is what we see
So there is definitely something amiss. You can see that Valeriia is before our AAAAAA card?!?!
I used a power up to import the list and used a CSV file if that helps.
Thanks
Bel

Hi @Belinda Bendon Thank you for sharing the screenshot.
Can you run one test? I want to check a few more things:
Can you try creating a new list, manually adding 4-5 cards to that list, and then sorting it alphabetically? Does the same issue persist there?
I just want to make sure if it's happening because it's imported via a third-party power-up or if it occurs on the manually created list as well.
Thank you!

I have done that and it works perfect. So there is obviously an issue with the power-up. I don't remember the name of the power-up I used unfortunately. Is there a work around with this. I have manually added cards to this list and that doesn't work. Do you know of a work around?

Actually that works (making a new card), so do you think we should just make new cards for these ones with the issues.
This is happening on all lists not just the imported client list.

If you remember the power-up name, I can give a test to try to find a workaround.
If it's working with creating new cards, it will be good to create new ones.
You can also run a test on one list (a list with very few cards). Try to move all cards from one list to the new list on the same board and see if it's sorted correctly.
Thank you!

It would either be Blue Cat or Import to Trello - the one with the dragonfly.

So here is a fun fact! When I create a new card, it seems to then remove the hissy fit it is having with the other card and files it alphabetically! This is just super!

Hi @Belinda Bendon ,It'm glad that creating new cards will sort out the issue. Feel free to let me know if you need help with anything else.
