Previously if I had multiple tabs of Trello open in my browser, the Trello icon on the tab would be the color of the board I had open. Now with the beta it looks like every tab just has the blue Trello icon. Is this a permanent change? I usually have so many tabs open I can't read the text on them to indicate which board is open and always relied on the icon color to know which tab to reopen. For example my events board is red so previously the blue trello icon was red
Hi @Ashley Shanley
What browser are you using? I can't replicate this issue in Firefox or Chrome; I still see the tabs that reflect the board background color. It does take a brief second before the tab changes from blue to the background.
Hi Beth, I am using Chrome. Weirdly enough when I just refreshed the color tabs updated. When I switched over to beta either yesterday or the day before, every time I refreshed a tab they started changing all to the same color blue. Even when I opened new Trello tabs and they were opening blue. But now they seem to all be opening to the correct color, not sure what happened!

Glad it is working now :)

I think it might be a bug, not sure if anyone else is experiencing this issue but each new tab opens blue still until I refresh the page and then the color changes. Just wanted to let you know, thanks for the help

That does sound like some sort of performance issue.

Hi! I'd like to add to this: icon switches back to default blue after opening a ticket from the board. And does not switch back to colorful after that. The constant switching of colors feels very annoying the last days. I'm on the latest Chrome/Windows.

@Nikita Pavliuchenko I just noticed this as well, the correct icon color reverts back to blue as soon as you open a card. @Beth French

I did some testing and I see this behavior (open a card back, tab logo turns blue and stays blue) and see it happening in the non-beta version as well. So perhaps this is unrelated to the beta version precisely.
That doesn't mean there isn't a bug and it a coincidence this starting happening right now. Can I confirm this wasn't the case before? That the background logo remained as a backround without turning blue?

@Beth French Hard to say. I didn't even know the color depends on a board theme until found this topic. Just noticed a few days (may be week) ago that the icon color changed, and it was uncomfortable, because of the color scheme became the same as a few other tabs/services I use. Never had such problem before.

@Beth French I can confirm this was not an issue previously. I have been using Trello since about June last year and the tabs have always been color coordinated to the board they were open to. When I updated to the beta that's when I noticed the icons all reverting back to the blue color as soon as the page refreshed or I clicked into a new board, so it could be a coincidental bug with the beta or it could be related to the beta since the timing was so close.

I have great news :) The Engineering team had already been on the case and just pushed a fix for the icon background in the tab. I'm no longer able to replicate it so please check yourselves. Also I learned that this is icon is called a "favicon". TIL.

I had the same problem. My company had a Chrome update, so perhaps it was that. I'll keep an eye on it and if it happens again, I'll let you know here. Thanks!
