Values in custom fields are not staying and reset. Anyone else experiencing this?

Jay Swann May 8, 2025

I included custom fields (Complexity, Priority and Effort) on the cards.  When update the value, it goes back to blank and does not save.  When I included the custom fields, I was on the 14-day free trial.  When I upgraded to the paid subscription is when I started noticing the issue.

That’s definitely not how it’s supposed to work, so I totally get how frustrating that must’ve been. Are you still running into this issue with your custom fields not saving?

Sometimes, things like this can happen if there was a temporary connection hiccup—either on your end or on Trello’s side—depending on when it occurred. If it’s still happening, let me know, and we’ll dig a little deeper to figure out what’s going on!

Thank you for your reply.  Now my custom fields are no longer visible and when I click on the custom fields button, it's asking me to upgrade.  I did upgrade first week in May after the 14-day trial expired.  Can you check to see if my paid subscription is in place?  jay_swann@homedepot.com

Thank you

Hi, Jay!

You have no active subscriptions in any Workspaces. You can reach out on https://support.atlassian.com/contact/ if you want us to check for any possible issues with billing!

Until your Workspace is on a paid subscription, it won't have any custom field features.

Hopefully that helps!
