incorrect card counts in lists

I have a count number listed at the top of my lists that do not reflect the number of cards in the list. Is this the WIP limit? I'm also trying to set that. advice appreciated.

for example see screen shot. I do not have 35 cards in my To Do list...only have 4 cards in the In Progress list.

You have a Trello filter applied (see the green block at the top of your board with the X in it?)

The number is the total number of cards.  But what you are seeing is the cards that match your filter.
