hi
thanks for the services provided
i am considering trello for my small group
it is disconcerting that a profile is automatically public and that the suggestion to change that is to 'avoid posting details' or to call yourself mickey mouse
in this day and age this seems too much of an unnecessary thing, to say the least. similarly, while i would like to be part of any 'community' which is available here, i think we have other challenges in life and business not to have to be compelled to 'participate' in anything.. there are enough tools to participate in so many places incl social media
is it possible to have all of my and my teams profile private - in the initial stages; and then as we 'really become part of a community' we would want to be 'public'
hope to have some feedback
thanks again
Hi there,
Trello is a designed as a social collaboration tool, and therefore took our cues from other social network tools where you can easily search and find people but people cannot see anything more about yourself than you choose to make public. This means your name, avatar and username will show up publicly, but not any content where the visibility is set to private or team only.
hi
thank you for your kind reply
i am sure you and your team know very well how to run your work and business; so, apologies for the earlier comments
however, my simple layman experience is that this feature; as well as the time zone setting up are not helping in the decision to take up trello.. though we also feel many positives in the general make up of trello... we are still thinking..
thank you
