"Reopen closed board" does not show board that was removed by a former intern by accident

Someone who worked for us as an intern accidentally removed a board by closing it thinking it meant something like unsubscribe. He was an admin (like me) because he had to add members etc. when I was not there (I only worked on the project once or twice a week). I tried to reopen it again, but the "Reopen closed board" page does not show the board. The former intern says he does not see the board there either and cannot reopen it for me. Is there anything else I can try or should I contact Trello support?
