Replies to Comments on Trello Cards

Why is it that when you reply to a comment on a trello card the reply doesn't stay connected to the original comment. 

For example: Susie writes a comment and then four more people write comments. I click "reply" on Susie's comment and it goes on top of all of those 5 comments. There is no easy way to know which one I am replying to. 

Does anyone know an easier way to track these?

Thanks for this feedback.  It sounds like nested threads are what you're looking for. Trello does not currently offer nested threads in the card comments. We are tracking  this feature request here: TRELLO-102 

 Each request for a feature helps increase the priority and helps us know what our customers want.
