Request to Adjust Position of Button Bar

I've run into a usability issue for a board with a great number (150+) of lists.

I have one very wide board that's designed so I can scroll through a landscape-oriented, timeline-like board and see lots of brief (1-4 cards per list) information at a glance.

This setup has helped tremendously with keeping a big-picture visual representation of my project and is one of Trello's capabilities that's placed it far and above any other organizational program I've tried over the past several years.

Issue:

The recently-added button bar has made scrolling through this board very difficult when viewing any lists that land roughly in the middle of the board.

The button bar covers the top half of the scroll bar, so it's very tricky to click and drag (see image).

I essentially get "stuck" whenever I have to scroll off these lists, forcing me to click around to try to grab that 11-pixel high sweet spot.

This significantly reduces productivity for a board that's meant to be scrolled around, skimmed, and clicked on/off again quickly.

Request:

I'd like to request either of the following features/options to alleviate this issue:

  • Feature enabling user to drag the button bar to a different location on the screen
  • UI team adjusting the spacing of the boards/button board to remove overlap, perhaps by slightly shortening height of list columns so the button bar can be moved up
