Securing boards

I'm a Business Class user.  I have one Board that I'd like external consultants to view and update but I don't want them to see all my Team Boards.  Can I do that?  Or is that Enterprise only?

Hi Mason,

If I understand your use case correctly, you want to set it up so that only people in your team can see your team boards.

The documentation states that...

A team-visible board will be visible to members of the team.

Answer

Set your trello board to "Team Visible"! You can do this from the board (simply click the status next to the title)

This is a standard feature of Trello and not restricted to Enterprise :-)

Testing This

If you want to give yourself some piece of mind and test this out you can do the following:

1. Open Trello in Google Chrome and log in
2. Set a board to be "Team Visible" (see documentation here)
3. Copy the link to the board
4. Open a new incognito window
5. Paste the link in (this has the effect of viewing it as a member of the public)
6. You should get a message saying "Board not found. This board may be private"

Note: You should get the same thing if try it with another user that is not in the team.
