SOS!

I'm looking to create a rule so that when a checklist item is added to a card on a list in a Team board, depending on the user that item is assigned to, it will automatically copy over to an existing checklist on a card in a list on that particular user's individual board.

I've tried to find the answers via videos, help centres and previously asked questions, but can't figure this out.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,

Sarah

Hi Bob,

Thanks for your help.

The card in question is actually assigned to multiple users so what I'm looking to do is have the trigger linked to a checklist item rather than a card. Then that checklist item needs to create a new card (that is assigned to that user) on a different board.

So I think it would be something like:

trigger: when an item is [added to] [checklist] [checklist name] in a card [in] [list name] [assigned to member <@name>]

create a [new] card with title [card title] in list [list name] on board [board name] and set [due] [now]

I've set this rule up but it's not working and I'm not sure why.

Any help gratefully received.

this can be set up as an automation

trigger: when an item is [added to] [a checklist] in a card [assigned to member <@name>]

[copy] the card to [the top of list] [list name] on board [board name]

under "cascade" you can [link the cards together] to make it easy for the user to go to the card on the Team board.
