Hi,
New to Trello and trying to figure out if it work for our company.
We have consultant engineers who all effectively run their own projects -
I have trialled setting up a “board” for each consultant - where they can list their current projects. As management we can then have access to each board.
My question is, Can I set up a new template for a list - where each consultant can fill in
Job Name
Status of Project “drop down option”
Additional support needed “drop down menu”
team working on project “drop down menu”
From my quick look - I can’t figure how to manually create this specific form
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
You can start by setting up the board with the card you are looking to use.
Job Name
Custom field: Status of Project “drop down option”
Custom field: Additional support needed “drop down menu”
Custom field: team working on project “drop down menu”
The next step is to install Blue Cat Forms where you can drag and drop the custom fields into a form that will look like this:
Adding on from what milynnus mentioned, you can use custom fields to hold that information, and to make things easier and because you mentioned forms, there is a great power up called Blue Cat Forms which allows you to create cards from forms: https://trello.com/power-ups/6139de588901011c01baf52f. This is a great option if you want to set "required" fields for your consultants to fill in.
Also, have a look into card templates: https://help.trello.com/article/1211-creating-template-cards. You can add informed to the template description to prompt people to fill out certain information.

Under the standard plan you can have custom fields where you can have dropdown list to select from. I think the alternative is to use Smart Fields power up.
