I have one Template Card that has all of my checklists. I have an automation set up that when a new card is email to the board, it auto-populates with two checklists, and then possibly additional checklists, depending upon the actions on the card.
The auto-population is working as I want it to, however the checklist on the new card is picking up due dates I've listed on the same tasks from other cards. AND - it's not the same due dates every time - it's almost as if the last date I set on the same task on a prev card gets sent to the new card. I cannot seem to isolate where this is coming from.
Has this happened to anyone else? Were you able to resolve?
My first hunch is that the Butler rule may not be selecting a specific card, and because of that, it's using the first checklist it finds with that name among all your cards. This means it could be a different version of that checklist each time!
To avoid that, there's an option to choose the source card that Butler should look at when copying the checklist. You can find that by clicking the bullseye:
Then you can paste in the URL of the card you want to copy that checklist from. Here's what's working for me:
