Can 1 admin user of the organisation subscribe to trello premium while the other users are free user?
And can this admin create the custom fields by default and the free users can still fill in the fields?
I do not need the free users to edit the custom fields at all. Just the 1 admin user to do all the settings
If you don't need the full power of Custom Fields yet, you may be able to get by with the Amazing Fields powerup (https://trello.com/power-ups/60e068efb294647187bbe4f5). It lets you create simple fields that can be shared with any number of users.
Then when you get to the point you need advanced custom fields capabilities like Automations, etc then you can easily add a Custom Field into the mix as well.
@Julian Wong - let me explain how subscriptions work in Trello.
All boards created in Trello need to sit in a workspace. Upgrading a Workspace is the primary way of upgrading to a paid plan in Trello, and free workspaces can only have a maximum of ten boards open at a time. When you upgrade to Standard or Premium, all users that are considered billable within your workspace will go towards your monthly or annual bill.
Billable users in Standard and Premium are the following:
Single-board guests - users that have been added to one board in the workspace - are not considered billable users. You can read more about how billing works with Standard and Premium here: https://help.trello.com/article/855-how-billing-works-with-trello-business-class
You have to pay for all billable users in the workspace you upgrade, and the only way you can stop users from not being able to edit custom fields is by making them an Observer, which you can learn more about here: https://help.trello.com/article/732-adding-observers-to-boards
