Hello everyone.
I have searched online, but haven`t found any workaround yet... Maybe there isn`t one?
Question:
Is there any way to link Trello boards (behind SSO) to Jira (Server)? My company is using Trello (Cloud - SSO activated) but also using Jira - server. From my searching online, it seems that the Jira "connector" (or power up) will not work if it is between a Jira server (onsite) and Trello using SSO.
Is there any way around this, or an optional (upgrade) license to get these two systems to function together (SSO to server connector)?
Any help with a solution would be very appreciated.
Hey @Kevin Fotheringham - I recommend having a read through this help doc: https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/using-the-jira-power-up/
There is no way to connect the Jira Power-Up to a Jira Server instance behind SSO. This is not functionality we would prioritise changing because, as you're probably already aware, Jira Server is being sunset: https://www.atlassian.com/migration/assess/journey-to-cloud
Are you moving to Jira Cloud or Data Center soon? Data Center also requires you to not have an instance behind SSO to work with the Jira Power-Up but we have an open feature request in our backlog to investigate whether we can support SSO enforced instances of Jira Data Center.
Hi @Alex W - Thank you for the tips. Apologies that I have taken so long to reply, but this request has received more traction inside our company hence the revisit.
It seems that I had given you incorrect information before. It is actually the Jira Data Center we use, therefore the open feature request you mention (highlighted by @Luis Pontes (below) would be ideal for us to progress. this.
How many votes does it require to gain any traction?
Regards
Kevin
