Using a board template for product launches

I'm drafting a business case to move our product go-to-market process to Trello, utilizing some of the new features (like Timeline view) to track and manage all the moving pieces. Because the phases, tasks and general ownership are the same at the start of each go-to-market (more or less), I'm wondering if it's possible to create a board template with all the relevant cards, phases, etc. completely pre-built so it's a simple click of the button to create a new board for the next new product launch (vs. recreating it each time).

I haven't created board or card templates before as a personal user of Trello, so this may be a very beginner question. (Note: part of the aforementioned business case is buying business or enterprise licenses). But, from what I've read on the support site and seen in some of the community template examples, I think you can do this with the board template function/feature, but I am not one hundred percent sure. Would love some assistance here.

Please and thank you for your help Trello Community!

Creating template Trello boards pre-populated with template cards is easy and very useful. Check out this guide.

HI Kat - thanks for your reply. Building a template seems easy enough. But, the question I have is whether specific cards, phases, etc. can all be built into the template, too, so the whole template is an exact copy of the product launch that needs to happen (essentially just the product / timing / ownership changes). Is that the case?
