I utilize card powerups and card actions routinely with Trello. With the latest update instead of having one click, I now have to click several times to execute these functions. Will there will be an option to switch back or pin these functions to the card layout in any way?
Thank you for reading.
Hi @Jess Gleason,
Thanks for bringing this up—you're definitely not alone in feeling the impact of the recent card layout changes. Many users who rely heavily on Power-Ups and card actions have noted the added friction with the new multi-click experience.
At the moment, Trello hasn’t provided a built-in option to switch back to the previous card view or to “pin” functions directly to the layout. The current layout changes are part of a broader UI update aimed at simplifying the interface, though understandably it’s made certain workflows slower for power users like yourself.
Here are a few suggestions:
Submit feedback directly to Trello from within the app by clicking “Help” > “Give feedback”. This is the best way to signal to the product team that layout customizability or a legacy view toggle is important to your workflow.
Watch the Trello change log and Trello community announcements for updates—Trello does sometimes iterate on UI changes based on user feedback.
If there's a specific Power-Up or action you use regularly that’s now harder to access, I’d be happy to suggest possible keyboard shortcuts, automation, or board buttons to streamline things a bit.
Hopefully we’ll see improvements soon that restore some of the quick-access functionality.

Hi Jess,
Thank you for sharing your feedback about the latest cardback redesign. I'm definitely going to share this with our product team.
I have looked into your account, and you are using the new version of Trello. There is no option to switch back to the old card layout. Right now, there is no option to pin these functions, but it's definitely a good suggestion or an improvement idea.
Thank you!
