edited:day search returning cards edited earlier than a day

sundararamans@vmware.com April 16, 2020

I am trying to look for cards in a specific list that were edited in the last day. I am using the below search.

list:completed edited:day

In the results I see cards that were edited over a day before. I am seeing cards edited several months ago. I can check this by opening the card from the search result and looking at the activity. The last activity in several of the cards are over a month ago.

What I am actually trying to do is find out all cards that were moved to this list in the last day. Whenever I move a card to this list I mark the due date as complete. This change in due data, I am hoping will be considered as an edit and hence I am hoping the above search will pickup cards moved to this list in the last day.

Hmm. Only if you’ve set up automation (maybe a Butler rule)?

Ah, I do have a butler rule that automatically marks the due date on a card as completed and moves it to the list named "Completed" and this is triggered via a button that I click - it's not automatic though.

Is it still likely that the butler rule maybe causing the issue, despite it being triggered manually?

Also, is there an easier way to search for one of the below

1. All cards moved to a particular list in the last day/week/month.

2. All cards whose due date were marked as completed in the last day/week/month

Much appreciate your help in figuring this out.

Marking the due date as complete should count as an edit.  There are probably a few other things that count as an edit (beyond what you might see if you look at the comment activity on the back of the card for example).  I'm wondering if those cards were changed but the type of edit isn't "big enough" to show on the back of the card.

Thanks Michael.

There are several cards that were moved to the list titled "Completed" and since they were moved I have not done anything with them - not even open them to view the info in the cards.

Are there changes that happen automatically behind the scenes without the user triggering them, which will count as edit?
