when I have been choosing the public option, but it doesn’t change no matter how much I click on it. When I select a public and submit it, it automatically changes to a workspace. This problem has been going on for two days. I have tried all possible solutions, but to no avail. When I submitted , it says it can't be opened because it's locked.

It sounds like it could be a permissions issue.

 

I'm assuming you're an admin in the workspace. If not, only an admin can change permissions. Admins can set themselves to not have permission to create public boards, which sounds like may be happening here. Here's an answer I provided to another user with a similar question.

 

If I recall correctly, if admins don't have permission to add public boards, then you will see this behavior. You can set a workspace so that not even admins have permission to do this ("nobody" is a selectable option).

 

To change this, navigate to the Trello homepage (after you are logged in), select your Workspace on the left, and select "Settings")
