I enabled the Calendar power-up for a Trello board and used the iCalendar ICS feed to sync dated cards to my external calendar. However I was disappointed to see that the feed is not secure or authenticated. Anyone can just paste the ICS url in a browser and download the calendar feed.
In contrast, Google Calendar feeds (which do not use ICS) are secure and require your Google account username and password. See https://support.google.com/calendar/answer/37648?hl=en
I realize it would be hard for someone to just guess the Trello ICS url, but if they have it then they have your private information.
Will the Trello iCalendar feed ever be made secure?
HI Greg,
Crystal from Trello Support here!
I'm unsure of where that is on our roadmap but I'll be sure to bring up your concerns with the team! Thanks so much for alerting us on this.
