I have a Trello account named INFO. I created a board. Then I invited guests accounts to the board. I wanted to remove myself from the board and from the workspace. So I added one of the guests account, named RAOUL, to the workspace and made it administrator of the workspace. Then I removed myself from the workspace, but now I can't remove myself from the board. How can I do it?
Hi Alessandro,
I believe you would have to remove yourself from the board before removing yourself from the workspace.
To leave a board in Trello, open the board menu on the right side of the board, click "More" and choose "Leave Board". This will remove your account from the board, which means you may no longer be able to access it.
Hope this helps,
Nick from Isos
I've never tested leaving a board as a regular member because I'm the active admin of the space, but perhaps this setting is obstructing you from leaving.
In any case, if RAOUL is the admin, they should be able to remove anyone from boards or spaces out of their account. They would also still be able to change board settings.
@Nick Nader may be right here that there's a hierarchy of user management here. When you left the space, the user management reverted to the remaining admin.
Can you ask them to manage this?
I've had weird board access issues in the past and after all these years I'm still not entirely clear about the nitty-gritties there.
It's always advisable to have test accounts and backup admins for critical spaces.
