Hi Community!
Wondering if there is a power up or browser add on that can let me change the date on one card and cause a ripple effect of shifting all others cards' due dates by the same number of days the first card was changed?
Alternatively, are there power ups or add ons that can let me select all cards in a board at one time and shift all their dates by the same number of days or hours or what have you?
This would save a ton of time when taking an existing board and creating a new one from it where the relative relationship of all card dates needs to be maintained while the absolute dates need to change.
Greatly appreciate your help as this would seem to be a common scenario.
Hi @Eric Rosen using Power ups and browser is definitely my preferred option especially if I have sufficient entitlement on your plan. If all fails, then automation may be the route. As I have doing a fair bit of it including change of dates, it definitely can be done. However, just to share with you that you have to be a bit careful as I have some surprises. I am located at UTC+8 and when I change just the date of the due field you get a different date when the time is less that 0800. Otherwise it is fine as have date change for a delivery board. The other this you obviously have to consider is the number of cards. With automation, especially on all cards, you can hit the rate limits imposed by Trello...quite understandably so. All the best to your search for a solution. Let me know so you want to explore the automation route. If you want a demo that I put up let me know.
Hi SGi Admin, my needs are very modest. No teams involved. The boards are not complicated. They are glorified to-do lists for myself.
Shift in timing can be a fixed number of days as opposed to hours. Would seem to me this need is common enough that a power up or browser add on would already exist either expressly for this purpose or as part of a broader tool.
Otherwise, I can continue as I have which is to:
It's a lot better than do it in Trello card-by-card.
Just thought there had to be a more convenient time-saving way.

@Eric Rosen This is pretty specific and unqiue. If only what humans can do on the keyboard can be handled by Bulter, a browser extension or a Power-Up connected together. You have 5 unique steps.
Although I am familiarly new to this forum but I noticed you are not unique in this aspect. Regardless whether you are an individual or part of a business, the above tools can do that much.
For example for the past day, I tried to tackled the situation where a card is accidental deleted that is critical to a process. From searching on this form there is no way to recover it. So how to help businesses handle this risk.
