Problem:
On the Trello Android app, adding a cover to an existing card does not take on the 1st attempt. We have to perform the same action twice in order to get it to work.
Steps to reproduce the problem:
1) Go to a board of choice.
2) Open any existing card which does NOT already have a cover.
3) At the card's screen, scroll down to reveal the [cover] button at the top.
4) Press the [cover] button to access this card's cover settings.
5) Press a color to choose it. The cover sizes are no longer greyed out.
6) Press either the half cover or full cover size to choose it.
7) Hit the X on the upper left to exit the cover settings.
8) Hit the X on the upper left to exit this card's view.
9) Now check this card in its list. Notice the cover you just added did NOT take.
10) Repeat steps #2-8 so the Trello app takes the cover change on the 2nd attempt.
Hi @rogergaoah jjust to give you the good news for this bug report TRELLO-1280 that this has now been fixed and that you should be able to save the cover photo from your Android phone without any issues now :)

Hi @Rog welcome to the Trello Community and thank you for sharing such detailed replication steps! You are awesome! :)
After some testing on our end, we were able to reproduce what you're seeing and have now opened up a new bug report that you can find right here: TRELLO-1280.
I have also added this ticket as an internal comment to this report so that way our engineering team can reference it and also use it to help align priority.
As of right now, I don't have an ETA on when this fix will be released, as it depends on various factors such as the team’s backlog and the complexity of the bug itself. That being said, with the link I sent above, you should be able to watch this issue by clicking on Start watching this issue.
For further information about how we track and fix our bugs, you can review the Atlassian Cloud Bug Fix Policy.
If you have any additional questions, things you would like to make known about this bug, other concerns or feedback, please feel free to comment on that bug ticket :)
I hope this helps, but let us know if you have any questions!
