Hi - I have been using Trello since the VERY early days and have been paying for Gold since 2016. I just went to create a new board and find that I can only do this if if is part of a workspace. My understanding is that Gold is designed as an add-on for individual use so why limit the number of boards and why force us to create workspaces? Is there a limit to the number of workspaces we can have? Is this now designed to make us change our account to business?

Please don't lose my custom after so many years - I have raved about you since 2011/12. I was named the Trello Queen in a previous role and instead of leaving cards, over the years people know to give me a Trello leaving card instead!

Please help. Thanks.

Jo

Having more than 10 boards was never actually a feature of Gold but I can see how this is confusing.  Rest assured we will have some communications coming out over the next few months which will let you resolve this if the $10 price point is the issue.

All boards must eventually be in a Workspace. But no there is not a limit to Workspaces. You are free to make a Workspace called “My Personal Space” for example (but it will be limited to 10 boards) unless you purchase Business Class today.

Unrelated to the above though, Gold is an individual addon subscription which will likely morph into a Workspace subscription in some way. Ie a subscription that works like Business Class does where you pay for the users in the workspace and all boards in the workspace have the paid features.   Stay tuned.
