On which planet did Atlassian and the Trello Team think that removing key features of Trello would improve user experience? Honestly? On a very basic level, I now have to click through two sections to access my other boards. Left-sidebars have been essential in countless applications over the past 20 years, and this update removes them to promote advertisements for things we do not need. The simple solution is not to make a permanent change but to give your community the option to use the update or stick with the previous product model. This update is arguably one of the worst in the past five years, and possibly in tech history, which is quite disappointing. I have used this product for a long time and know many people around me who also use it. Not one of those individuals or businesses is impressed with these changes. I am always open to evolving and improving, but this has now made your product worse than it was before. I will seek other products that remain true to their original models and listen to their communities, rather than forcing them into "featured solutions" we do not need, and becoming overly reliant on AI. I will assume the price increase will be right around the corner. Do not fix what is not broken.
Who ever the software developer is who’s coming up with these ridiculous updates needs to be fired.
One more bad update i’ll fire myself from using trello
If it’s not BROKE, Don’t FIX it
I've been using trello for personal projects for awhile now and I completely agree, the new trello is awful. I'm sick and tired of companies making their websites worse for no reason, at the very least give us an option to use old trello.
The new trello has so much clutter, like that whole inbox thing that now takes up the whole left side of screen, I have no use for. The entire thing very laggy now and feels awful to use. Not to mention the right side of every card and the thing icons always in the middle.
I'm literally begging the team behind this to at least give us an option to use the old one, I have hours upon hours worth of work on here and the new one is so much worse in literally every way.

DEAR GOD I JUST GOT IT AND IT'S WORSE THAN YOUR DESCRIPTION SUGGESTS.
It was ALREADY so bad I saved a JQuery snippet in devtools to increase the absurdly narrow arbitrary 768px card width to expand the code snippets so I could almost read them.
But now they've put those too-wide code snippets and all comments into a new, NARROWER COLUMN.
This is no place for coders. I use Trello cos Jiras are shared and I need to write, updated and delete copious notes and reminders to myself, and move them through lanes that only make sense to ME. Jira notifies everyone with an interest in it every time I touch it, so Trello was my only alternative without creating new Jiras. It was ONCE perfect for me, barring the stupid width limitation.
But apparently in 2025 Trello is for the sort of people who think assigning colours to labels AND ARBITRARIRLY SORTING THEM BY COLOUR MAKES SENSE.
I need an alternative. NOW. All hope is lost. The tutorial that walked me through the updates was so promising, all 'customisation' etc, very promising.
But I can't find anything that customises it TO BE READABLE?! It may exist, but if I can't find it after 36+ years of writing and using software there may be a usability issue :(
