Trello email notifications have stopped coming through

Hello, since last two weeks I have stopped getting email notifications for any cards I set up a notification for myself. Also if I set up a notification for someone else, it does not come through. However, if another member in our team sets up a notification for me it comes through? I have emails set up for 'Instantly' and I am watching all boards and cards. I am not using BETA. Everything worked like a dream until a couple of weeks ago. Same for me and one of my colleague. I have checked my Atlassian account and Trello account emails are the same as well. I have gone through all help options I could find, but cannot solve this. Missing out deadlines is not fun!! Thanks in advance for any help I can get!

Hi Kaisu, Welcome to the Atlassian Community! 

  • Have you by any chance viewed the update right after it appeared on the card? If you happen to see the update before the email arrives in your mailbox, the email itself won't be sent. This behavior is set by default to reduce the number of notifications of something you might've already seen. You won’t receive notifications for any actions you take. This includes actions triggered by automation that you create.
  • I should also mention that if you keep your Trello tab with a card open for which you expect to receive a notification, you won't receive an email about such an update because Trello will consider that you've already viewed the change.

To make sure everything is setup correctly, please follow these steps to test your notification settings:

  1. Go to your Trello Settings and make sure your email notifications are sent "instantly".
  2. Create a new Trello board.
  3. Create a new card called "test card"
  4. Become a member by clicking "Join" or start watching the card by clicking the "Watch" button when the card is open.
  5. Invite another user to the created board.
  6. Close Trello.
  7. Ask the other user to comment on the test card.

You should see a notification in your email about that comment within the next 15 minutes. Once you receive the email notification, you can check Trello, where you should see a notification in the notification section about the comment.
