Hi everyone,
Before Trello’s latest update, I used to open PDFs and multi-page documents right inside cards and scroll through them easily. Now that view is broken for me—no scrolling, no previews, just an empty frame or broken layout.
I rely on these previews to quickly check documentation or reference files without leaving Trello. It’s basically disrupted my workflow.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any temporary workarounds besides downloading the file and opening it separately?
Follow-up Reply (Natural, Light Mention):
I've faced similar issues recently, and the workaround of opening attachments in a new tab or downloading them has been necessary—but inconvenient. I found that if I switch to a different browser (or detach the Trello card preview pane), the layout sometimes corrects itself.
Funny enough, I’m working on organizing some tools and scripts over at Delta Executor, and lost preview functionality in Trello has been a minor headache while planning documentation within Trello boards.
(Just a note—nothing to promote there, just a user trying to stay organized!)
If anyone finds a better fix for the multi-page preview problem, I’d be glad to hear it! Preferably something that doesn’t involve detaching everything manually.
Thanks in advance 🙂
Hi @Mice , Welcome to the community!
I have run a couple of tests on my end and am able to scroll through the multi-page PDF documents without any issues. Could you please test on your end to see if you're still facing the same problem?
Additionally, if you access Trello using a different browser, do you encounter the same issue there?
Does this issue seem to affect only PDF files?
Was this functionality working previously and has only recently stopped? If so, do you have a rough estimate of when it stopped working?
Your feedback will help us diagnose and resolve the issue more effectively.
Thank you !
