UNINTENDED_MEMBER_INVITATION

Trying to add some members to board via API (PUT /boards/xxboardIdxx/members/xxmemberIdxx) . For some rare users I receive the response {"message":"Client does not properly handle unconfirmed invites","error":"UNINTENDED_MEMBER_INVITATION"}
So... what does it mean?
