As an organisation we have Trello Premium, Is it possible to give someone view only access to the Trello Boards that we use so they can view progress on a project without paying a subscription fee.   The people we want to give View Only Access to wont be actually working on the projects directly

Hi Wendy, welcome to the Atlassian community!

You can add the users to a single board as observers, so they can view a board and the cards within the board, download card attachments, comment and vote on cards and export the board. Still, they won't be able to make changes to the board, such as moving or editing cards.

Observers are considered guests, so if you add the same user as an observer on multiple boards, they will become billable. If you add them to a single board, they will not have any cost. You can find more details about observers here: https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/adding-observers-to-boards/

If you have information on multiple boards that is important to multiple users, then you can create a board and create some rules with Butler to copy the most relevant information from all the boards to this new one. If you add many observers only to this board, you don't need to pay any fee.
I know this may not be the ideal situation, but it's a possible workaround.

Let me know if you want some suggestions about this workaround or if you have any other doubts.
