Why am I not getting notifications for mentions?

I have a butler rule that says when a card is due, comment "@myusername task due" but I'm not getting a notification for this.

Background:
I'm trying to get notifications for a recurring task when it is due so I set up the following:

-a daily repeating card

-butler rule: when a card is copied to list (triggered by the repeating card), set due date to now

-butler rule: when a card is due, comment "@myusername task due"

Any help would be appreciated.

Hey Mark, is the automation set up to be running the actions as yourself, and then mentioning yourself, i.e. one account mentions itself? If this is the case, the system won't send you a notification, as our system is designed to not send notifications when a user self tags themselves.
