Why can I not edit a board if I am a member of it and workspace editing is enabled?

My board admin created a private board and added me to it. We then realized I could not comment or make any changes to cards, he changed the visibility to workspace, opened commenting to members and enabled workspace editing in the settings. I still cannot edit or comment, though. Any suggestions for how to fix?

Hey Meagan,

Guilherme from the Trello Support Team here, welcome to the Trello Community :).

I believe you may have been added to the board as an observer. Observers are board members available only for the Premium and Enterprise subscriptions, and they can't comment or move cards on a board. 

The board admin should be able to change your membership type on the board by clicking on the *share* button and change you to a member:

From there, you'll be able to interact with the board again!
