Why can't I search for attached file names?

I would like to search my Trello boards by attached file names. When I do a search, cards show up under similar names but not the files. Is there a work around for this that anyone knows about?

I'm sorry to report that this isn't a feature we have available at the moment. One possible workaround would be to name the card the same as the file attachment, that way you could search using the operators here: https://help.trello.com/article/808-searching-for-cards-all-boards

Another option would be to export to CSV on our Business Class plan. This export contains a column with the path to the file, which also contains its name. If you search the spreadsheet, you can find the link to the card in the same row: https://help.trello.com/article/747-exporting-data-from-trello-1
