Hi @Corinne Ribiere welcome to Atlassian community.

Let's break down what's happening and how to fix it.

Understanding the "10 Collaborator Limit":

Your message "This free Workspace is over the 10 collaborator limit and all boards are view only" is the key.

  • Trello's Free Workspaces have a limit of 10 active members (collaborators). This means if you have 11 or more people as members of any boards within that workspace, or as direct members of the workspace itself, you will hit this limit.

  • When you exceed this limit, Trello automatically puts your workspace into a view-only mode. This is why you can't make changes or remove collaborators directly from boards.

When the workspace is in view-only mode, it can prevent you from performing actions like removing members.

Normally, as a Workspace Admin, you would remove members by:

  1. Going to your Trello workspace (e.g., trello.com/your-workspace-name).

  2. Clicking on the "Members" tab (usually near the top or in the sidebar).

  3. From there, you should see a list of all workspace members. You can then remove them.

Since you're experiencing issues with basic admin functions (removing members) and want direct help, contacting Trello Support is the best course of action. This might be a temporary glitch or a security measure specific to your lockout.

Trello's pricing and upgrade:

  • Go to the Trello Pricing page

  • You can initiate an upgrade from within your workspace settings as well, usually under a "Change Plan" or "Billing" section.
