Trying to figure out whether this is a bug or a standard thing that happens and if we can resolve it and get that data back.
We rely heavily on the data that tells you when a card has been moved from one list to another.
We've started using trello for monthly scheduling - each month on a different board. When I moved across some of the cards from last month all of the historical data relating to how cards had been moved between lists has disappeared.
Is there anyway to get this back or stop it from happening in the future? Only work around right now seems to be to add a comment when a status changes but this slightly defeats the point of the ease of just dragging and dropping and knowing the date will be recorded automatically.

Right now when a card is moved to a different board the activity history is removed from the card. I'll be sure to let the team know that you would like to see the card keep this information when moving the cards!
For situations where you would like to keep that information I recommend copying the card, moving the new card to the new board, then adding a link of the new card to the old one. Here's more information on how to relate cards:
