Hey Ryan,

I can't personally say exactly why Trello doesn't support rich links like that currently. My thinking is it's likely due to the challenge of displaying that in a way that wouldn't disrupt the structure or format of a card's description or comments.

Regardless, I'll be happy to pass your interest in this along to our product team for consideration in the meantime.
